How To Make Croissant Sandwiches
What Is A Croissant?
A croissant is a french bread which has a form of a crescent. It is baked from a yeast dough and layered with a lot of butter. It is rolled and is folded many times before it is baked. It has a flacky texture. There are different kinds of croissants. Cheese, ham, chocolate, raisins, sesame and of course the normal croissants.
Croissant has a lot of calories so be careful not to eat much and not so often. It will ruin your figure. But then it is delicious. If you are not worrying about your figure, continue reading.
Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 Croissant
- Salad leaves (endive, iceberg or lettuce)
- Cheese spread like Philadelphia, Brunch or Exquisa
- 2 pieces of ham, cut it in triangle in case the ham is big
- 2 pieces of Gouda cheese, also cut in triangle if it is big
- 3 slices of tomatoes, 2 cucumbers and 3 slices of hard boiled egg
- salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
- Cut the croissant lengthwise.
- Spread the lower and the upper inner sides of the croissant with cheese spread.
- Put the washed and cleaned lettuce leaves or endive on the lower part of the croissant. Arrange it beautifully. The eyes eat as well.
- Alternately put the hams and cheeses on top of the salad leaves.
- Then decorate it with slices of tomatoes, cucumbers and hard boiled eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste and cover it with the upper part of the croissant.
How To Make Croissants
Cheese Croissant Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 Croissant
- Salad leaves (endive, iceberg or lettuce)
- Cheese spread like Philadelphia, Brunch or Exquisa
- 4 slices of Gouda or Edamer cheese
- 1 slice of tomato
- 1 slice of cucumber
- 1 slice of hard boiled egg
Procedure:
- Cut the croissant lengthwise.
- Spread the Philadelphia or Exquisa cheese on both inner sides of the croissant.
- Arrange the salad leaves on top of the cheese of the lower part of the croissant.
- Arrange the Gouda or Edamer cheeses on top of the salad leaves.
- Put the slices of tomatoe, cucumber and a slice of hard boiled egg on top of the cheeses.
- Spread salt and pepper on top and cover it with the upper half of the croissant.
Note: It is like the Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwich. The difference is, you only have to put cheeses on it.
Vegetables and Eggs Croissant Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 Croissant
- Cheese spread like Philadelphia, Brunch or Exquisa
- Salad leaves (Endive, Lettuce, Iceberg or Lolo Rosso)
- Slices of tomatoes, cucumbers and hard boiled eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Procedure:
- Cut the croissant lengthwise.
- Spread the cheese spread on both inner sides of the croissant.
- Arrange the salad leaves very well.
- Then, alternately put the slices of tomatoes, cucumbers and hard boiled eggs on top of the salad leaves like in the photo on the right side.
- Put salt and pepper to taste. You can add fresh parsley herb if you wish.

I love croissants! I am not watching my weight but I still limit how often I buy them as they are fattening. So delicious though. There is nothing else quite like a croissant sandwich.
