How To Cut A Mango

Procedure

  1. Pull the jackfruits from the trunk, deseed them and cut into cubes or into your desired shape. Put the sliced fruit into the big mixing bowl.
  2. Wash and cut the papaya into half and get off the seeds. Slice the fruit without hitting the skin, lengthwise and crosswise. Then scope the fruit with a tablespoon and add them to the jackfruits.
  3. Peel off the skin and slice the bananas into small pieces or into cubes. Add lemon juice to the bananas to avoid darkness to the color. Add them to the other fruits.
  4. Wash and cut the mangoes on both sides of the seeds. Put the seeds aside. Cut the remaining mangoes lengthwise and crosswise without hitting the skin. Then scope the mango fruits with a tablespoon and add them to the mixing bowl. Slice into cubes the remaining mangoes from the sides of the seeds.
  5. Cut the watermelon into small cubes and get rid off the seeds. Add to the fruit bowl.
  6. Peel the skin of the pineapple. Get rid off the "eyes" and of the trunk. Slice the pineapples into small cubes or as you wish. Add them to the fruit bowl.
  7. Add the condense milk, the double cream or the plain yogurt. If you want the fruit salad to be more juicy, just use both double cream and the plain yogurt. You can add raisins to this recipe if you wish.

Tips

  • Eat fresh fruits everyday for it has a lot of vitamins which are very good for your health. Eating at least one or two small bowls of fruits everyday help your diet without being hungry. It is also good for your skin.
  • Eating an apple a day or any kind of fruit is much more better than eating hamburger. As what I have read somewhere: " An apple a day keeps the doctor away."
  • You can cook the seeds of the ripe Jackfruit until it is done. It is good as a snack.
  • There are different kinds of mangoes but the best is the yellow and oblong form of a mango. Well, for my own taste. It is the Asian mango.

Sounds totally delicious, I'll give a try. However I've never heard of Jackfruit, so I'll have a look around for it.

Yes kerlynb, very Pinoy. Omitting the jogurt and double cream is just the original Pinoy fruit salad. Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice day.

@Adriangel: I know you miss it. Just make the fruit salad with the fruits that you have in your place. Thanks for your comment.

Thank you writer20 for your comment. Yes, it is delicious and healthy as well. Jackfruit is not only a fruit but also a vegetable. We cook the unripe jackfruit for our dinner with coconut milk and the ripe one is for the fruit salad. You can eat the ripe one as it is. Thanks again.

Hi, randomcreative! Thanks for your stopping by and for giving a comment. Have you tried eating mango jam/ marmalade? Well, you can make mango jam like the way you can make with the strawberries.Have a lovely day.

Hello Movie Master! Thanks for your stopping by and giving a wonderful comment. Yes, you can try it. There is sometimes ripe sliced Jackfruit in an Asian Supermarket in UK. But usually it is in a can or in a glass. If you can not find it, just use any fruit that you like. Have a lovely weekend.

Hi, I love your fruit salad. You are lucky, since you have a wide variety of fruits! After may trainings I usually eat smashed bananas with honey, yoghurt and cottage cheese. It's easy to make, nutritious and very tasty. Voted up!

Thanks plinka for voting my hub up. Yes, I am lucky to have a lot of varieties of fruits here in the Philippines. You can use this recipe with European fruits like strawberries, peaches and apples as well.
